Membership Details
We want to clarify our approach to membership and our operation. We are proud to offer our membership without any recurring club fees.
We believe accessibility is crucial to our mission. However, membership does come with a shared responsibility. All ratified members are expected to contribute their services from time to time to support the ongoing activities of the club and its projects.
This contribution can take several forms, offering flexibility to suit individual capabilities and availability. Specifically, we ask that members be prepared to contribute in one or more of the following ways:
Time and Labour: Assisting with tasks such as event clean-up, supporting logistical needs at competitions (e.g., carrying supplies), or helping with other hands-on activities as needed. Offer your services to maintain the practice venue and equipment.
Expertise and Skills: Sharing professional knowledge or skills that could benefit the organization. This could involve providing advice, offering training, or assisting with specific projects related to your area of expertise.
Donations and Funding: When requested and where possible, contributing financially to specific initiatives or providing in-kind donations of goods or services that align with our needs. We understand that members have varying levels of availability and resources. We strive to be mindful of individual circumstances and appreciate any contribution, big or small.
Any requests for assistance will be communicated clearly and with ample notice, allowing members to consider their capacity to participate. We believe this collaborative approach fosters a strong sense of community and ensures that we can continue to offer valuable programs and services. We are confident that you will find your involvement with the club to be both rewarding and impactful.
